"Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!"

A high pitched screech sends you racing into a weyr. You expect to see something horrific. Instead a rather young looking girl is just standing there. The weyr is rather neat, not a hint of a fight or ruckus anywhere. Questioningly, you look at her. She just stare at a corner of the weyr. Curious, you head for it.

Your movement snaps her out of the daze. "I wouldn't if I were you. Something's not right over there." You ask her what her name is. "My name's Mara, and you are?" You tell Mara your name. "Well nice to meet you. Why don't we have a seat over there?" You notice that she's pointing away from the corner.

"So, what brings you here today?" You mention the high-pitched scream. The brunette in front of you blushes. "I suppose you heard that. I guess it's safe to assume everyone heard it?" You nod rather slowly. Mara sighs. "It's been a rather stressful time. You see, right before I got here, my father had me tend the runners. Only problem was he didn't tell me that one of them had gotten loose and I was to find it. Hours. Hours I spent looking for that critter, fearing my father would be angry at me for losing it. When I finally found it and brought it home, he finally remembered to tell me that it had ran away a day before. About two days later, I arrived here. First I thought I was really lucky getting this weyr. So nice and clean. I wondered why nobody was living here. In that corner over there is..."

Slowly you move to look into the dreaded corner. Something is there. Sticking to the wall is a green, slimy, vile-smelling thing. Mara comes from behind you. "Horrific, isn't it? I think that it used to be someone's glows. Then it mutated into, that." You ask her why she screamed. "It moved. That thing moved towards me. I don't think it likes me." You turn to stare into her gray eyes. All you see is fear. "I really hope I live long enough to have a chance to impress." You murmur to the girl reassurances. But, in the back of your mind you pity the girl. And she appears to only be fifteen.

You tell her that you have to go. "Do you have to? I really don't want to be alone. Just come back and visit me okay?" Promising to, you head towards the door. "Bye now, and please come back!"
