A brown fire-lizard swoops by as Anika pulls a stool next to you. "Ahhh, it appears that my flit Srei has appeared. He's rather protective of me. I impressed him when I was seventeen, and he's still with me two years later. So wanderer, what brings you in search of me today? Oh, wait. You found out that I impressed the lovely Lyareth at Sha-Haven Weyr, correct?" You nod your head.
"I'm really excited about impressing. You see, I've always wanted to fly a dragon. I'd see them in the sky, and daydream about it..." Absently Anika looks up at the window. A wistful look fogs her brown eyes for a moment. "But I'm glad Lyareth chose me.. I've started to clean out this mess of a place and it's actually looking somewhat decent. And I'm starting to watch how the riders care for their dragons. Gotta learn somewhere." Anika sighs. "Anything has got to be better than the hold I came from. My parents were trying to espouse me to this farmer." Her lips twist into a funny shape. But I guess being on the verge of flying makes up for all that.
From his perch Srei chirps, the blue hatchling Gell responds. "I guess that means Srei and Gell are hungry. It's been nice talking to you wanderer, sorry if I ramble a bit too much." You stand to leave and wonder about that look Srei is giving you. "Don't worry wanderer, he's just hungry. Good-bye!" You wave farewell to Anika, and to that large thing called a flit. It makes you wonder what Anika feeds the thing...
