Sirah's Realm

Sea Light and Brillance Ocean

You take leave of the main trail and walk further down the side trail. Sunlight hits your face from overhead through occasionial breaks in the clouds, warming against the slight chill. The trail curves to the right leading into an area blanketed with purplish-red grass. Interesting. You search, and find, a small sheet of paper tied to a stake.

Bending over you see the word Asrire and below it Sirah's Realm, written in dark ink. The text tingles with magic...

"Will you be going to our home realm?" A soft voice speaks barely above a whisper. "Nonsense, it is merely curious." The same voice answers almost immediately. The same, except the tone is much more firm. You turn slowly, to see who had spoken -- and blink. It isn't one, but two. Twin mares, very similar to each other in appearance. Yet you have the feeling that they aren't as similar in personalities. The one standing boldly meets your eyes, while her twin's eyes are demurely lowered.

"Brillance Ocean am I, and this," The standing mare say, "is Sea Light." She finishes with a slight nod. Her sister stirs and finally looks at you. "Visitor..." The soft spoken mare begins. "I hope you do not think my sister is rude... it is just that we have been together since birth, and have never been seperated from each other." She sighs. "Ever. She is very protective of me, we have grown knowing that we are all that we have." Brillance Ocean touches horns with her sister, and you bow quickly in farewell.

"Wait!" Sea Light calls out suddenly, bringing you to a halt. "There is another Asrire that resides nearby. A stallion. He's--" Brillance Ocean cuts in abruptly. "A fool." She snorts rudely. "A fool. An idiot! Plain and simple. And I don't know what you see in him." The mare looks at her twin with narrowed eyes of blue ice.

Sea Light meets her gaze for only a moment, before lowering her eyes once more. "There's just something about him that's different." She says gently. "That's all." Brillance Ocean doesn't reply, but there's a tension in her body and in the air around her. Perhaps it's time to really continue your way down the side trail.
